Hidden in the Waikowhai Bay is a detached walkway, which during high tide parts of the walk disappear. The aim was to create micro islands of sea grass, and integrate a floating walkway. Using a basic understanding of how sea grass grew, and how the area was used by locals, the micro islands helped build upon the story of the place, regenerating rather than obscuring.
